Works January 5, 2009 Javier Kozier (Central Wisconsin) It does what it's suppose to do but the step up in the series offers functions such as live data scans for rich and lean trims and voltage readings of vehicle components.
Great Product December 26, 2008 J. Xu (Philadelphia, PA USA) I bought this scanner when my Honda CRV had check engine light on. I tried to disconnect the battery (and it didn't help) before I bought it. I used it to get the code out in less than 10 minutes. And then I found the problem of faulty O2 sensor and replaced it. The local dealer would charge $95 to read a code. So it paid for itself in the first use.
Actron CP9125 Code Reader December 16, 2008 P. Prunty Code reader is well worth the price. My husband was kind of skeptical at first because it was small and wasn't expensive. But we had to use it on one of our vehicles, and the code was not in the book but we loaded the codes from the cd that comes with it, and found what was wrong. Well, we had to take the vehicle to the dealer for a fix and they put the vehicle on their computer analyzer and guess what? The Actron had diagnosed it correctly. It is really handy and does what it says it does. I would recommend this to anyone. A good buy.
ACTRON SCANNERS IN GENERAL December 13, 2008 Bernard S. Braham (il usa) This scanner works just fine and very affordable, but just because you got the check engine light to turn off won't get you to pass the emissions test Unless you know why it came on and got the problem fixed Kind of like using make up, you may look good and feel better but the underlying problem remains The fact you turned it off shows up on the test stations computer and you just wasted a trip All you achieved was to mask the problem Most probably if there is a fault such as a defective O2 sensor the check engine light will come on again after a few miles of driving. So fix the problem Do some highway driving so your cars CPU will reset and get back to the test station Don't even think about turning the check engine light off just before taking the test hoping to out smart their computer you won't here in illinois ACTRON MAKE GREAT PRODUCTS. I WISH THEY WOULD UPDATE THEIR ABS SCANNERS SOFTWARE TO INCLUDE MY 97 JEEP. I'D BUY IT IN A HEART BEAT There are some scanners that may but the cost is too high, far greater than the cost that a Jeep dealership charges to read it
obdII scanner is great November 21, 2008 Kerry L. Feltham This is a terrific little device. It was easy to use right out of the box, and did exactly what it was supposed to do. I recommend it highly.
