Product Description Featuring unique retro styling and a heavy-duty steel construction, the Schwinn 12" Roadster Trike is a great choice for your youngster's first trike. It has a low center of gravity thanks to a wider profile back, which offers added stability to prevent tipping. The swoopy steel frame has an easy step-through design so your tyke will be comfortable and ready to ride. The Roadster has a bucket seat with an opening on the back for easy carrying, and the seat can be adjusted underneath with twist knob (no tools needed) to five different positions. The handlebars have textured grips and raised ends that help keep the hands from slipping off, and the handlebars can be adjusted using a wrench. The pedals offer colored rubber accents that also provide extra gripping so shoes don't slide off. It also features air-filled tires--12 inches in front, 8 inches in the back--which provide a smoother ride over bumpy surfaces. For added style, this trike comes with a real wooden deck in back with a burned-in Schwinn logo, shiny silver fenders on the front and back tires, a bell on the handlebars (which can be removed), and tassels for added flair coming off the ends of the handlebars (also removable).

Great trike January 6, 2009 P. Verschoyle (San Antonio, TX USA) Purchased this toy as a Christmas gift for our soon-to-be 3 year old grandson who lives in a rural area. The low center of gravity helps prevent tipping while the rubber tires help grip the sandy driveway where he rides. After a few adjustments and a little practice he learned to zoom down the drive and to negotiate the sand traps. This is a handsome model (we chose blue) whose heavy construction promises to hold up under his and his older brother's and sister's enthusiasms. We're very pleased with the trike and with the prompt delivery.
2 1/2 yr. old LOVES it! January 6, 2009 B. Russell (Texas) She got this for Christmas and loves her bike. The seat is adjustable and we have it all the way up for her so she can reach the pedals well. Seems very sturdy, and I don't worry about her tipping over. One reason I chose this over others was the tires. They are REAL instead of plastic-y quality. Great for a kiddos first trike.
Schwin wins! January 3, 2009 Richard Millar (Toronto, Ontario Canada) We did a lot of reviewing for a pedal tricycle before buying this beauty. The low-rider style and chrome are really attractive, but we wanted something that was easy to ride (not fall over on) and sturdy. This tricycle doesn't dissappoint. Bonus that it is very easy to assemble (Christmas eve - 15 minutes!) We got a blue one for our little girl and she loves it.
classic cruiser January 2, 2009 V. Zubenko This is a great little trike, its nice and quiet and easy to peddle for my 2 year old. The only con on this trike is that all the little kids want to ride it at the playground. We let our friends 2 year old ride it and he did not want to give it back, so our kids got into a little of a scuffle(both cried a lot). I took a 5 foot piece of rope and tied one end to each side of the handle bars and would tug and help my 2 year old turn the right way and also pull him up hills while we walked up hill and stuff. We got complements everywhere we go and my little guy rings the bell and keeps on going. Your kids will love it.
Gorgeous Trike! January 1, 2009 J. Thome (Southern California) As a child, I remember receiving my first Schwinn with training wheels. It was a deep green metal flake. I still have it although it is very rusty and old. I don't believe they had trikes like this one back then. I ordered this precious blue trike back in November '08 to take advantage of the awesome price and the free shipping. I barely opened it today and had hubby put it together. The reason for waiting was because hubby can never put anything together (lol) without having fits or something missing. This was assembled very quickly and easily and my child loves it! I highly recommend this trike to everyone. Thanks Amazon!
