I am very pleased with my choice to purchase these mats for my 10-month-old son. We have hardwood floors, so this gives him a nice soft place for tummy time. It's very easy to keep clean (brush with dry cloth or wipe with wet cloth) and the colors are very cheerful.
We looked at the SkipHop mats, and after reading various reviews about trouble with pieces popping out, we decided to go with the FAR less expensive product. At this price, even if they get messed up fast (we have cats who like to scratch them, ugh) we can replace them at least three times before paying the cost of the SkipHop mat.
One note about the appearance: it is slightly different from the display picture. In the picture it appears that there are white borders between, but I'm assuming that this is actually the mats disassembled, about an inch apart--the colors of the mat are flush against each other with no white in between. And it looks great.

This is a great mat. The carpeting in my house was causing redness on our daughters skin and I wanted some flooring that would prevent that. This mat met our needs with some added advantages. On cold winter days, the mat does not cool down like the carpet does which allows our daughter to sit and play with her toys without being too chilly. Everyone who comes to our house asks us about it and wants one of their own, especially if they have small children home.

I use this on the hardwood in areas where my baby tends to play. It's holding up pretty well, and easy to clean. The only thing is that my baby likes to lift up the outside strips and chew on them. Don't know how safe that is for him. Other than that, we also bring the mats over to grandparents and friends houses if we know they don't have carpets.

I LIKE THE BRIGHT COLORS. AND THEY ARE VERY DURABLE, THE LAST MAT I GOT FOR MY DAUGHTER HAD LITTLE PIECES THAT CAME OUT, AND THEY WOULD END UP IN HER MOUTH, I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS ONE, ALTHOUGH SHE KNOWS THEY CAN COME APART, ITS NOT AS EASY AS THE LAST ONE. I BOUGHT THIS MAT TO GO WITH THE PLAY YARD GATE. SO FAR IM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS MAT, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A SOFTER PLACE TO PLAY. WITH HARDWOOD FLOORS AND LOTS OF TILE IN MY HOUSE THIS WAS A GREAT OPTION THAT WAS NOT VERY EXPENSIVE. AMAZON OFFERS GREAT DEALS. OTHER SITES WANTED TWICE WHAT I ACTUALLY PAID FOR IT.

This is great product. No chemical smell, no small parts for my infant son. I am very, very and very pleased with it. Don't buy expensive letter mate that little children can break.
